The iconic Daisy gets a darker-looking presentation in Daisy Black Edition, while retaining its unmistakably feminine fruity-floral character. Juicy strawberry and grapefruit meet cool violet, gardenia and jasmine, with vanilla, musk and white woods creating a smooth finish.

What does Marc Jacobs Daisy Black Edition smell like?

The fragrance opens with violet leaf, blood grapefruit and strawberry. The grapefruit gives the opening a sparkling citrus freshness, while strawberry adds a soft, juicy sweetness. Violet leaf brings a cool green quality that keeps the opening from becoming overly fruity.

At the heart, violet, gardenia and jasmine create a delicate floral bouquet. Violet is particularly important to the character of the fragrance, giving it a soft, slightly powdery quality, while gardenia and jasmine add creamy white-floral warmth.

The dry-down brings white woods, musk and vanilla together into a smooth and subtly sweet finish. The vanilla softens the woods and florals, while musk adds a clean skin-like quality.

The overall impression is fresh, feminine and softly sweet, with a beautiful balance of juicy fruit, violet and white florals.

Discontinued Fragrance

Originally launched in 2008, Daisy Black Edition was presented as a luxury version of Marc Jacobs Daisy in a distinctive black bottle with a gold stopper. The fragrance uses the same formula as Daisy, with the Black Edition presentation associated with the Eau de Parfum version. It is now a discontinued release and increasingly difficult to find.
