Launched in 2018, this radiant floral fragrance brings together green notes, pear and bergamot with a colourful heart of hyacinth, tulip and narcissus, settling into a soft base of mimosa and white musk. Inspired by the way a diamond reflects and disperses light, Carat creates an airy and crystalline impression through an unusual blend of floral notes.

What does Cartier Carat Eau de Parfum smell like?

Carat opens with green notes, pear and bergamot, creating a fresh, crisp and lightly fruity introduction. The green facets give the opening a clean, lively character, while pear adds a gentle sweetness and bergamot brings a subtle citrus brightness.

The heart becomes a colourful floral bouquet built around hyacinth, tulip and narcissus. Hyacinth gives the composition a fresh, slightly green floral quality, while tulip and narcissus add softness and depth. The wider floral composition also includes violet, lily, honeysuckle and ylang-ylang, creating the impression of many flowers blending together rather than one single dominant bloom.

As the fragrance settles, mimosa and white musk create a soft and powdery finish. Mimosa adds a gentle floral warmth and creamy texture, while white musk gives the dry-down a clean, smooth quality. The result remains light and airy rather than becoming heavy or overly sweet.

Discontinued Fragrance

Originally launched in 2018, Cartier Carat was created by perfumer Mathilde Laurent and designed around the idea of translating the brilliance and colour of a diamond into fragrance. Its unusual floral composition brings together seven different flowers representing the colours of the rainbow. This Eau de Parfum is now discontinued, making original bottles increasingly difficult to find.
