Discover the romantic floral character of Guerlain Idylle Eau de Parfum through a carefully prepared perfume sample from the original fragrance launched in 2009. Created by Thierry Wasser, Idylle combines rose, freesia and lychee with a generous heart of lily of the valley, jasmine and lilac, settling into a soft base of white musk and patchouli. The result is an elegant floral bouquet with a fresh, delicate and distinctly feminine character.

What does Guerlain Idylle Eau de Parfum smell like?

Idylle opens with rose, freesia and lychee, creating a soft and luminous introduction with a delicate fruity freshness. Rose is immediately noticeable, while lychee adds a juicy touch and freesia gives the opening an airy floral quality.

The heart develops into a rich floral bouquet of lily of the valley, jasmine and lilac. Lily of the valley brings a fresh, clean floral character, jasmine adds warmth and depth, and lilac gives the composition a soft, slightly powdery quality. Together they create the romantic floral identity that defines Idylle.

As the fragrance settles, white musk and patchouli create a gentle, warmer foundation. Musk gives the dry-down a soft skin-like quality, while patchouli adds depth and prevents the floral bouquet from feeling too light or fleeting. Discontinued Fragrance

Originally launched in 2009, Idylle was Thierry Wasser's first fragrance for Guerlain after becoming the house's in-house perfumer. The composition was built around a generous bouquet of roses and white flowers, balanced by the warmth of musk and patchouli. This older Eau de Parfum formulation is now discontinued, making original bottles particularly interesting to fragrance enthusiasts looking for the earlier version of Idylle.
